06 · Why we built Hey Capto

Built by insurance operators who got tired of opening six systems to review one risk.

Hey Capto was born from years of working alongside underwriters and agents who spent fifteen minutes per property pulling data from different systems, cross-referencing scores, and manually building reports. We knew there had to be a better way.

Every data point in Capto earns its place. We were tired of wading through pages of bulk data exports just to find the handful of facts that actually move an underwriting decision — so Capto surfaces only what matters, grades it, and leaves the noise behind. Every score uses letter grades because that is what carriers require; every disclaimer exists because a compliance team told us it matters. This is not software built by people who read about insurance — it is built by people who live it.

— The Hey Capto team  ·  support@heycapto.com

Missing a data point you need? We’ll source it.

We already pull from a deep stack of property, hazard, permit, and imagery sources — and every score you select lands in the downloadable PDF report, fully documented. If your workflow needs a data point we don’t surface yet, tell us and we’ll work to add it.

08 · FAQ

Quick answers.

Tokens are the currency for Stage 2 reports. Full Hazard Analysis, Building Permits, Replacement Cost, and the Advanced Wildfire and Flood scores each cost 3 tokens; Emergency Response Proximity is just 1; and our premium Advanced Aerial Analysis is 16. The Property Analysis bundle covers Hazard + Permits + RCE + Emergency Response for 8 tokens — about 20% off.
A Stage 1 lookup takes about 8 seconds. Stage 2 reports typically return within 15 to 30 seconds; Advanced Aerial Analysis may take slightly longer due to aerial imagery analysis.
